Various reason:

They violate the rules in the "terms of service"(TOS).

Troll post who's only purpose is to cause problems.

Fighting/ flame war/ name calling.

Hate speech.

advocating commiting non-victomless crimes.

Spam bot post for selling products.

The user posted the same thing in another forum section.

Things are rarely locked so I would not worry about it.

But I do wonder if posts are actually DELETED? Yes, I know, Topics can get deleted, but what about the indavidual posts themselves? I've never seen it happen...
