Here's my problem. I was an idiot, and signed up BEFORE reading the stuff in the newbie forum - and so, without thinking, used my usual username. I already saw in the FAQ's that it's impossible to change it. So, I was wondering if it was considered acceptable to pm a mod to close the account, and then set up a new one to use from now on with a new username?

You can send a PM to a mod and ask them to ban your current account, and you can go ahead and start over with a new username. The catch is that you'll need a new email address.

That's simple enough - nice thing about hotmail is their 'alias' system allows me to send as many email addresses as I want to the same inbox. Thanks for the help!
