Both are illogical as one another.

I've got an idea: people kill people, and firearms or video games don't affect that at all.

The problem with this idea is that people cannot be banned, so believing it denies everyone the opportunity to flail about pretending that they're doing something for the children.

I am actually surprised by the moronic display of illogic on the part of the NRA. I always thought the Right was all about "preserving our rights." Now it seems they despise the 1st Amendment (something they used to blame the Left for doing), yet favor the 2nd Amendment. Truly mindboggling IMO.

The NRA has a habit of grasping at straws sometimes. This isn't the first time in their history, either. I have some vintage NRA magazines (American Rifleman) and there are few instances of the NRA calling for "sensible gun control".
Yes, I sent them a nasty-gram about the video game thing because it's ridiculous.
The NRA is still the biggest gun lobbying organization so they still have my support in general.

When the NFA and the Hughes Amendment of the FOPA are repealed, I may consider the NRA as being on the side of the people.

Speaking as an ultraconservative gun owner and former NRA member, let me say that LaPierre is a f*****g idiot. We don't know why he waited a week to say anything, or why what he said was so f*****g stupid. I personally suspect intense cocaine use.

The NRA is not an organization without faults. I prefer GOA to them but every body is in a finger pointing mood. If you don't get ahead of it, then you'll be the one being blamed. It's all sad and very tired, how many times have we gone through this same stupid debate? Spree killers are statistically insignificant in the grand scheme of violent crime.

Ive killed lots of people in video games. Laying down fire with my machine gun is fun.

That has nothing to do with real life. I have no interest in owning a gun or killing people.

According to the NRA sentence: "People kill people, not the gun in their hands." I see visually in my imagination now a Computer game DVD shell with an assault rifle in its hands. XD

The media usually doesn't even care very much about the real life equivalents of gun-killings that happen in video games. In video games the killers are usually either "gangstas", or U.S. military soldiers(i.e. Call of Duty, Medal of Honor). The media acts like the latter is more than okay with them and so does the NRA.

I laughed so hard over the video that now my stomach hurts! I've actually seen some of those clips on Tosh.O.
