I am really happy right now. When I was 15-16, Fall Out Boy was my favorite band. Thing is, I really liked "Sugar, We're Goin Down" and "Thnks fr th Mmrs" when they came out, but it took "America's Suitehearts" for me to see a pattern and really get into them. This was in late 2008. Of course, shortly thereafter, in late 2009, they went on an "indefinite hiatus." At the time and until very recently (the last week) things looked bleak for them. But recently rumors began circulating that they were back together - from reliable people like a member of Blessthefall who said the band told him they were back together. Until about two days ago the band was denying everything, with the lead singer tweeting "One day we'll have real news and you won't hear it over the rumors" or something to that effect. Then, last night, it was announced they will be playing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on the 13th. Finally, today, they released a new single and announced their new album! I could not be happier right now. They are my favorite band and I was always sad I just missed the chance to see them live - now I might get to!

Yeah my daughter is excited about that too. She let me listen to their new single today. Not my cup of tea but I think that the singer (also the songwriter?) is talented.

Not a big fan of anything but "Thnks fr the Mmrs" but that may be due to a lack of exposure. I listen to over 400 bands so it's hard to keep things straight and find new music.
