On the days that my stools are loose, or watery, I have to wear Adult Pull-ups, to catch the mess, because I don't have the complete control that I used to. I do try to empty myself, before I go out, on those days, and I don't spend more than an hour away from my flat. If any of my local men find out about this, I'm doomed to a lonely life, without a lover. Nobody wants a stinker for a Girlfriend. My mum knows about this, because I've told her. I ask that you post some kind words of support and poems or pictures, in this thread, that you know will cheer me up. I hope you don't think I'm ret*d, because of my dirty, shameful secret. I feel so ashamed of myself. I don't want to lose you comerades as friends, because of what I've just posted.

I feel so ashamed.

I wouldn't have thought they should be, unless you're incontinent or don't have full control of your bowels. I know nothing much about this subject other than to say I am pleased I don't have this problem!

I'm also pleased that you don't have this problem. I wouldn't wish it upon anyone.

Do you have a specific condition that causes you to do this? I have irritable bowel syndrome and, in the past, I have on the odd occasion soiled myself (it's very rare that I do this). It is embarrassing I know, but don't be ashamed of it because, at the end of the day you can't help it. My boyfriend, who I love very much, has Crohn's Disease and this causes him to soil himself without warning (as well as other things of course, such as the constant pain that comes with it). This can happen to him at any time because with Crohn's, you get involuntary spasms in the wrong places that cause this. With IBS, it's the 'spastic colon' component of the illness that can occasionally cause you to dribble if your stools are watery. He constantly carries toilet tissue around with him, although this doesn't really help if he is, say, casually walking down the street and he suddenly has the runs and soils himself. We just laugh about it and, on my part, doesn't change my opinion of him. I understand that he can't help it and he understands too as we suffer similar problems. Have you actually (I know it's embarrassing) been to see a doctor about this?

Fiz x

I wonder if I could retrain myself on my bad days, which happen 30% of the time, with the prospect of a nifty reward at the end of the proccess. Perhaps I could switch from Whole Wheat, to White. I can't believe that I, of all people would have to go through such a thing, since I tend to be into the finer things in life.

Do you mean to swear?

If so, then I thought you were nicer than that!

Shelby, please!

I didn't think she was swearing. I thought she was speaking German. :?

Really though do you have dr you feel comfortable discussing this with? Maybe there is a medication or special diet that could help. Could you have IBS? Or C. Difficile (a nasty gut bacterial infection) or may lactose intolerant? Did you suddenly start taking lots of Vitamin C or magnesium both which have uhm a laxative effect in many people.

I hope things get better for you soon Cockney.

Is there a possibility that you have Celiac Sprue, a disease in which you are absolutely unable to tolerate wheat, or more specifically gluten? Perhaps you could be tested. In which case you would only have to switch to other grains, such as rice, quinoa, buckwheat, which isn't real wheat, by the way). There is a book, called "Against the Grain," in which the author discovered her wheat intolerance, and found a whole new way of eating which spared her the excruciating bowel habits which she had endured.

Did you go to a doctor for the problem? Maybe they can help and find out what it is.

I hear there are lot of men out there who accept women in diapers or pull ups. So it's easy for a lady to find a guy who will accept their diapers or pull ups no matter what their reason is for them. For a guy it be hard for them to find a lady who will accept their diapers or pull ups.

A popular soft drink tends to give me the tendency to squirts, and I've got a half case of it within reach of the computer. I am addicted. There is also the fact that a recent prolonged respiratory illness plus my usual asthma have conspired to increase the flow of mucus through my digestive system, by the usual disgusting necessity of swallowing the excess mucus.

Do you also have gas and do you drink soda pop? If so, deliberately flattening the soda before drinking it, or teaching yourself to belch out most of the gas, will help, and if you can quit the soda entirely it will help. I have a hard time quitting soda because I can go for a few weeks without it then suddenly the withdrawal symptoms will start all over gain, with my brain shutting down and me feeling like I am having a stroke.

Bitter melon has helped my digestive system tremendously before, and I am going to have to get some and start the program all over again. It definitely seemed to help dry out the excess mucus and stop the loose stuff that has kept me going to the bathroom every hour during the day.

I think that there are too many irritants in the beverages that we drink.

hi CR

i have endo or somethin to that effect goin on down there with me... so sometimes when it gets to be that time of the month... i have similar problems. :(

one thing i've found is that changing my diet helps. i know it sounds silly, but fiber helps, lol i eat triscuits and wheat crackers all the time for snacks.

oh... and if there's one thing anyone has to realize before they decide to live with ANYONE... is that EVERYONE needs decent bathroom buffer space!! !! !!

cheer up!
