I don't get it. What did the mother do wrong? All that the strippers did was dance. Since when has that been illegal?

Lap dances for kids as young as 13? Charging her was a good decision.

The strippers ought to be charged for performing indecent acts with minors.

I would be angry if that happened at a party a son of mine went to. I don't agree with it but if it was just her son then I don't know. But there were other people's children there plus, I didn't read cited articles, it was at a bowling alley. Was it rented out or open to the public?

If it had happened in Texas, it would be a pretty clear trip to prison for the strippers and for life long registration as sex offenders when they got out.

Was it wrong? Yes. But was it harmful? No. Kids of that age look up stuff much worse on the Internet. They've seen far more hardcore stuff than this at that age. It's just a fact of modern life. Do I think she should be charged with something? Yes. However, "Endangering a minor" is not at all correct. There was no danger, and there was no harm done. Maybe simply "Furnishing pornography to a minor".

It might be "wrong" but not wrong enough to go to jail over.

At some level, wrong is wrong. The punishment imposed will have to take into account not only the gravity of the mother's offence but also the best interests of her children.

Frankly, a mother who will hire strippers for her 16 year old son doesn't strike me as, 'cool'; she strikes me as, 'creepy.' Perhaps some time under Dad's roof might serve everyone's interests.

While it might be a bit of a gross out case, I do not think that jail is needed in this case.

Strippers doing very intimate lap dances with children as young as 13?

Here's a picture of the activities:

How can anyone in their right mind think that doesn't deserve prison time?

I don't understand how in the first place a parent would do such a thing. But then again, if I have kids, I'm not competing in the "coolest parent on the block" competition.

Damn some people really need to lighten up. So much paranoia about teenage sexuality.

If that had happened in Texas, the strippers could each receive 2-10 years in a state prison.

If it went further, it could bring up to 99 years in prison for each of the strippers.

I just remembered something. When I was an exchange student in a high school in California, I went to a birthday party of a 17 year old girl. They had a male stripper for her. I was so grossed out. Other people there seemed to think nothing of it so I just figured that's normal in the US.

When I was 19 I dated a girl and she wanted to check out a nightclub. I reluctantly agreed only because she asked. We both went inside and there was people dancing, lots of strobe lights and blaring music. Suddenly the music changed and four strippers came on stage, I looked around and their was mostly kids (male and female) around 17 or 18 (In Australia the legal drinking age is technically 18 but 17 yr olds are seasoned drinkers).

My 17 yr old date asked me the strangest thing. She asked if I wanted to watch the girls? I felt really awkward and asked her if we could leave. She was surprised. Later she asked why I left. She thought I was strange. "Don't guys like that sought of thing" she asked quizically. She later told me I was a prude and not open minded? huh! how bizzare, I only wanted to leave because I thought she found it awkward.

So anyway, 17 yr old watching strippers seems to be fairly normal these days.
