Avatar bug?

I've been trying for a couple of days to upload my avatar. Yesterday it just wouldn't work at all, (the message kept saying the file wasn't either a jpeg or a few other types of files, but it was a jpeg) today I got this message :-

Could not write avatar file to local storage. Please contact the board administrator with this message

Likely broken with Alex's transition to the new backend software. It hasn't been the smoothest transition I've ever seen, to say the least.

Thank you for bringing this to attention though, hopefully with your error and a little bit of time in his log files Alex will be able to resolve this.

Same here. I am glad that I am not the only one whose avatar is not working... and I have tried several different avatars, much to no avail.

Mine is doing something similar, except that it says that my profile has been updated and yet all i get is a red cross, it's not even working on avatars i've used previously.

Heyyyyy...I've just had another go and it's working now.

Try it again you guys who are having problems, looks like it's fixed now
