Hi, I'm new here. I graduated with a BS in IT from University of Cincinnati in 2011.

My hobbies include:

• Anime and Manga
• Tabletop RPGs (usually played remotely via IRC or Play by Post)
• Video games (normally RPGs)
• Science Fiction and Fantasy novels and audiobooks
• Programming and Web Design
• Trying to draw, Rarely some brony stuff. (Not that good to be honest)
• Minecraft
• Youtube

Some things about me:

• Diagnosed with Aspergers at age of 6.
• Normally perpetually happy.
• Lived in the Greater Cincinnati Area for nigh all of my life.
• Generally really shy, I don't get out much. Further complicated by lack of drivers license. Most of the time I need an invite or a push to get out and socialize.
• I take Lexapro for my Aspergers, started it in February. Before then I used Adderall [XR] when insurance covered it, Strattera otherwise.
• Had a unfortunate experience with a SharePoint placement company in Georgia last year. Long story short, they insisted I pretend to have skills I didn't to companies they placed me at, and I can't lie. So I quit after a few months and I am lucky they haven't sued me in order to reclaim the training/housing fees. Left me pretty bummed for all of 2012, drained of creative energy.

I hope to make friends and connections through this site, since I find it hard to do it face to face in RL.

Welcome to WP. How's the IT field treating you?

I'm halfway through my IT program for Cyber Defense wondering where I'll wind up after graduating.

The IT Field is not treating me all that well.
After I quit the Sharepoint job last july, I took a break from working. Was too bummed. Even more bummed since it messed up my SS payments.
However, it is a new year and I am trying to find a local company this time to work for. Too bad everyone wants 3 years of experience.

However, I still get some income from time to time by building websites for a local advertising company called Mahan Advertising and a sports athlete network called Flying Colors Sports.

maybe you could pick up an "entrepreneurs for dummies" [but you're NO dummie] and bone up on some independent business skills so you could market yourself to people/firms that need a specific job done per spec. just a thought.
