stirring the pot >:)
That person's writing style makes me want to punch them in the face, even the parts I might agree with. It's a great example of how to turn off a potentially receptive audience through irritating message delivery, you could cut the condescension in that piece with a knife, that smug cutesy BS is the worst.
If I was actually going to argue with that person, I would point out that if misandry is a self fulfilling prophecy, so is misogyny, not in the sense that it didn't exist until it was harped upon, but in the sense that accusing a group of unwitting complacency in oppressive policy and beating them over the head is not an effective means of persuasion. I could agree completely with the message of feminism, but if I'm approached as if I'm some antebellum slave owner simply because I was born male and don't apologize for it, I'm going to default to f*ck you on general principal.

I also didn't like the writing style. So much anger directed at the reader.
I also don't know anyone personally who hates men or who hates women. Though there is obviously a lot of violence against women around the world by men, while most violence against men is done by their fellow men.
That seemeth to be the purpose behind a lot of these articles.
Or, just to raise the spirits of the wenches, and make them feel justified about misandry.
"Some of us hate individual men, and some of us hate men in general. But, don't respond to it, men, or you're turning misandry into a self-fulfilling prophecy."
Why should a man even care about misandry?

So hating all men is ok?

From how i understood it the point was hating all individual men is ok, but hating men in general isn't though the author wouldn't really care if someone did because they must have a justified reason for their hate. Also while all that is ok, men shouldn't complain about being hated as a group or else they are creating it them self even though the author acknowledged that hate does actually exist.

Well said.
I would support feminism more openly if feminists (of BOTH sexes) would not approach me as if I were:
- The sole reason that women can not find a job, get a raise, or earn a promotion in a free-market economy.
- The bearer of a weapon of sexual assault, who is only too willing to use it at every opportunity.
- A pervert, a pedophile, a sociopath, or any combination thereof.
- A whining, narcissistic, spineless wimp looking for a surrogate mother.
- A violent, alcoholic, drug-using psychopath looking for his next victim.
- A "player" who uses, abuses, and then kicks women to the curb without the slightest twinge of conscience.
So I no longer get involved in causes, especially causes that don't benefit me directly - except for serving meals at the local mission. Those people seem to appreciate kindness more than any other people I've ever met.

Logic 101, sweetie. Hating all individual men is exactly the same as hating men in general.
That is basic logic. But don't bother your sweet little head about that.

Watch it, guys! This thread may soon get locked and deleted (and we will be blamed) if we all don't tone it down a bit!
But maybe that's what they want ...

Sexism against men is propagated by the patriarchy in order to repress women. Or something like that.

Good god, I didn't think you were that dense
It's funny because you're trying to call me out on illogicality when you agree with my point....troll much?

So basicly we men should just accept being hated and not respond to it and think of ourselves as subhuman, and worthless pieces of meat to toss aside like expired food? I call sexist propaganda but i guess sexism against men doesnt exist and if it does its ok and nothing should be done about it.
It seems that is what the article implies yes, but I certainly don't agree with it and don't see it as ok.
