Apparently, we talk way too much and interrupt class. This is very inaccurate. Some of us are loud, others are quiet and some are in-between. We are all different.

Another one that bothers me is our love for trains, buses and maps. Huh?

It isn't difficult to determine there is no stereotype. All one has to do is meet other men and women with AS.

Sometimes, the ASD world can feel like a competition between severity levels. Some people seem to describe their "symptoms" as if they are reading the DSM to prove it to others. This can be very intimidating, especially for a newly diagnosed individual.

P.S. My nose is ultra sensitive; I happen to love the smell of Calvin Klein's Obsession.

I hate the myth that all people with aspergers have a high IQ & a special talent! I don't have a high IQ & I still haven't been able to find any special talents. I also hate the myth that we are selfish & can not at all relate to other people.
