I started a punk/post-punk band a couple of months ago. We're probably going to be gigging next month. We need to pick a name; I've come up with three myself.

The first is alot to live up to!

But I love it.

The second one actually has some resonance with me because it sounds like a reference to "Root Boy Slim and the Sex Change Band" - a local yokel and his outfit in the 70's punk era from here around Washington DC- who achieved some degree of national fame. His biggest hit being "Christmas at Kmart". Dont know if any Brit would have heard of him or not.

My own suggestion:

"the Growth"

^ Not heard of that guy, but will try to look it up. I'm a sucker for forgotten late 70s artists.

Also, 'The Growth' has to be one of the best 'The' names I've heard of, but my friend doesn't want a 'The...' name. Will suggest it to her, though.

Bands I've been in:
Future Fuzz
Knee Deep (short for Knee Deep in s**t)
MOON

But I digress. Sex Change Booths is pretty cool. Three name bands are all the rage I hear, like Smile Empty Soul, Black Label Society, Reel Big Fish, Insane Clown Posse, Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance.
