OK. Doctor Who. I've got some questions for ya'll.
1. What the heck is Bad Wolf. I mean, i kind of get it, but i'm not far enough into the show to know (Started Season 5 this morning).
2. Does Christopher Eccleston come back? (9th doctor)
3. Does David Tennant come back? (10th doctor)
4. Does Billie Piper come back? (9th and 10th doctors companion, AKA. Rose Tyler)
5. Who is Doctor Who.
I await your reply!
Allonsy!
"Bad Wolf" was a super being with god like powers, created when Rose absorbed the energy from the heart of the Tardis while attempting to get back to Satellite 5 to help the Doctor defeat the Daleks in "Parting of the Ways", the final episode of Series 1.
When she arrived, The Rose/Bad Wolf entity destroyed the entire Dalek fleet, including the Dalek Emperor, and brought all the people they had killed back to life - including Captain Jack Harkness who became immortal as a result. She then took the words "Bad Wolf" from the sign in satellite 5 and spread them through all space and time as clues for her past self to return to Satellite 5 and save the Doctor (i.e. to do what she had just done).
If you are on Series 5, then it's very unlikely that you will see any more Bad Wolf references, as their purpose was to lead Rose to Satellite 5, so their presence in the 5th Doctor's adventures wouldn't make a lot of sense. That, and the fact that Steve Moffat has pretty much washed his hands of many themes introduced under Russell T. Davies' regime.
There have been rumours of the 9th and 10th Doctors returning in a 50th Anniversary special episode, but nothing has been confirmed.
Refer to last answer.
I highly doubt it.
If you're asking for details of his origins, I know as much as anyone else. Details are released where necessary, but the character will always be shrouded in mystery.

Spoilers

His name isn't "Doctor Who" - it's just the Doctor. (His Gallifreyan name is unknown to us - he has stated that there is only one circumstance under which he would reveal it, and it has been implied that this has to do with either marriage or just sex, but the exact circumstances have yet to be detailed.) The name of the show comes from one of the frequent responses when he introduces himself, as lampshaded in an episode from the most recent season:
"I'm the Doctor."
"Doctor who?"
"All these centuries, and I never get tired of that."
He is a Gallifreyan Time Lord, a member of an ancient race that developed time travel, then used that to police the timeline to make sure history unfolded "properly". He's also the last survivor of his species, as he was forced to erase Gallifrey from the timeline while finally ending the threat of the Daleks. (Then, of course, some idiot opened the prison he'd managed to lock the Daleks into...)

1. A code word that unites Rose & the Doctor.
2. No.
3&4. Yes.
5. That's the entire series. We don't know. They are unlikely to tell us. As the Doctor regenerates he changes. Was a vegetarian now meateater. Was a pacifist yet mass murdering war veteran. Rebel yet preserves old order.
Silence must fall when the oldest question is answered. That question is: Doctor Who? We cannot know his name for the fear of something terrible happening.

Okay, I'm going to answer questions 2-5.
2. No.
3 and 4. Yes, it's been confirmed that the Tenth Doctor and Rose will be coming back for the 50th Anniversary Special. Beyond that, though, I dunno.
5. There is so much, and yet so little that we know. Leaving aside his name, and the other answers, the Doctor is a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey, who absconded with his grand-daughter in an obsolete TARDIS out of boredom and chafing at the restrictions of Gallifreyan society. It took some time before he became the hero we know and love: his first incarnation was initially rather uncaring to his first human companions until the events of the third story, The Edge of Destruction, where the Doctor was proved wrong and one of said companions, schoolteacher Barbara Wright, was right. Since then, his companions have helped keep him morally centred.
There have been hints in the classic series, though, that the Doctor may be more than just another Time Lord. Particularly in the last couple of seasons of the classic series, it was hinted that the Doctor either has links to Gallifrey's past, or may even be a literally nameless figure from said past. This may be what Moffat has revived.
Incidentally, if you're only concentrating on the new series, you're missing out on a lot of very good stories from the classic series. So there.

I know other people have answered all these question, I just felt like answering them in my own way and offer a different view for the fifth question.
1. It's not that you aren't far enough into it, you are way beyond the point where it's clearly explained (end of Season 1). Not to be rude or anything but how did you miss that?
2. Unfourtunately, he has said in a radio interview that he doesn't want to come back. He enjoyed playing The Doctor, though.
3. Yes.
4. yes.
5. We're not supposed to know. Although Steven Moffat has named the final episode of the current season The Name of The Doctor. So we're probably going to find out. Even though half the point of the show is that he's a mystery and we don't know his name. It's not just called Doctor Who because people ask "Doctor who?" sometimes. It's because the man is a bit of a mystery, one that is not meant to be solved. If the creators wanted it answered, it would have been answers a long time ago in the classic series.
Also, the first Season of the reboot and all of the classic series, he was credited as Doctor Who. Although it's obviously not his name, he can technically be called Doctor Who.
Reference to the last post.
I watched a documentary which was a DVD extra for the classic series story Survival. One of the producers being interviewed said that they were planning on revealing the name of the doctor when Sylvester McCoy was the doctor. It was planned if the series was going to continue into another series which it didn't that was when they were going to reveal it.

Not exactly. Rather, they were dropping hints all over the place about the Doctor's identity (which is different to his name), and were planning to reveal it, but then make sure that the revelation only served to ask more questions.
Much of what was planned did have a culmination in the New Adventures novel Lungbarrow by Marc Platt, which is mostly set in the Doctor's ancestral home on Gallifrey.

That did seem to be the case in the finale, which I'm pretty ok with, as long as some mystery remains. And I really hope Moffat isn't doing that because he is planning on ending the series.
Anyway, what I really came here for was to post these pictures
The way 11 talks there is how Donna talked. If that was a reference, it was a pretty good one. I love references to previous characters, in any show.
I really don't think Moffat would end Doctor Who.
1) He doesn't have the power.
2) He likes the show too much.
3) It makes too much money.
Doctor Who is the BBC's flagship drama and arguably their flagship program globally. They're not going to let it die any time soon. If Moffat walked away tomorrow, they'd get someone else to do it. Realistically I'd hope for Toby Whithouse, in the world of fantasy I'd want Gaiman or Whedon or Nolan or someone massive like that. I imagine they'd go for Mark Gatiss or Chris Chibnall though.
If anything, someone else will take over as lead writer next series instead of Moffat....Doctor Who is way too much of a money maker for the BBC for it to be cancelled any time soon.
Also, let me make a comment about the return of David and Billie for the 50th....yeah, Rose will be back, but it's not certain if David will play the role of the Tenth Doctor, or the meta-crisis Ten (the one in the parallel universe). My vote is for the latter, because there's been a lot of talk in series 7 about bubble universes.....
Nice to see some Who fans - seems all the questions have been answered already.
Anyway, to confirm (without episode spoilers), the 50th Anniversary is purely commemorative in the respect of adjoining Dr Who from its original series (up to the late 1980s) and events from post-2005 - David Tennant and Billie Piper will be making a cameo and personally, I'm hoping it's an end to Moffat self-referencing Who events before the 80s and using very complicated red-herring plots like he has done since Series 6). As was pointed out earlier, Christopher Ecclestone will not be returning as he made it clear he left to prevent being typecast as just "the guy who played the Doctor"; he actually is a very well-respected stage and radio actor.
Though Moffat claimed that the 50th Anniversary will be standalone, I'd take that with a pinch of salt as the latter half of Series 7, which ended earlier this year, was basically a huge lead-up to it, with the whole Clara-Oswin-Oswald thing. I don't really know what went on there as I gave up watching the series after Christmas 2012 - I didn't like the direction the series was going in (no offence to Jenna-Louise, who can actually act quite well outside of Who).
Anyway, it's rather speculative as to what will happen in 2014 - Moffat confirmed that he isn't leaving (not sure if this is because he's strongly hinted that the third upcoming series of Sherlock will be the final one, therefore leaving him more time to concentrate on Who as a showrunner). And with Matt Smith recently confirming that the Christmas 2013 episode will be his last, no one knows who the next Dr is going to be. It's a time of change, alright. Whether for the better or worse remains to be seen...
For those who're interested and following at the UK-pace, the BBC will confirm who is to replace Matt Smith as the Doctor, this coming Sunday: http://metro.co.uk/2013/08/02/new-docto ... 2-3908350/
