The Mother is Kristine Barnett & her son, Jacob, is 15, dx w/Autism & persuing his PhD (in Astrophysics, no less!)

I saw that on Katie Couric. I missed Temple Grandin, who was a guest on her show earlier. But I saw the kid and his mom. Quite remarkable genius-the kid.

It's always nice to hear of a parent who nurtures their child as it should happen - helping the child become the person they were meant to be and want to be. Whether that's a scientific genius, or a piano tuner, or whatever it might be.
