I sold mine to underclassmen at other schools.

I hope that's a joke (not trying to pick a fight... just sayin').

I didn't sell back a few of my lit readers just because of my extensive annotations (mostly for Alexander Pope, Johnathan Swift and Voltaire).

I keep all of the material I produce for writing/analysis/research heavy classes like comp/lit, history, philosophy/ethics, sociology and social work. Sometimes they come in handy for reference and/or jump starting new projects.

I try to hold onto the stuff that is most important, and after a couple years I go over all my notes and try to condense several semesters of related subjects into a very small space. But mostly I don't worry very much about it, because I can nearly always refresh myself with Wikipedia, or re-derive everything in a pinch. I haven't really used the stuff I've kept very much, because I seem to remember it alright, and some of the stuff I thought seemed hard several years ago seems trivial now.

I throw the actual papers out, because I hate a mess, and keep the documents on my computer. It can be pretty useful at times. I've re-used parts of several of them.

I kept a large amount of my class papers throughout both high school and college. At the advice of my parents, I treated my papers as receipts in case an unexpected grade came up. However, once the courses were done, I usually archived some of the papers that I was proud of/may have needed later in life.

The rest of the papers that I got were either thrown away/ignited with a homemade flamethrower.

I sell all of my papers online. There are tons of websites out there that you can use. I find it somewhat unethical, but it is helping me pay down my debt faster, which is the major reason I went to college instead of just taking a bunch of free classes and trying to learn everything on my own.

I figure if someone wants some examples of good coursework or are looking for a starting point, I find that perfectly acceptable. If they are going to outright plagiarize, then that is a different story. Most colleges and universities now use some pretty impressive software that is quite good at catching the cheaters, so I don't worry about it too much.

I've kept all my college essays, but my class notes and such I have either thrown the notes away or deleted them from my computer.

I bin them. I don't like to add any more to the clutter in my cupboards.

My parents wanted to save it all. If it was me, I would throw it all out.

When I was in high school, I collected some of them if they were inspirational, heplful or I liked studying that subject. However, I threw away most of them.

Now, when I am in college, I keep all of my papers in folders. I am looking forward to have a small library of all the things I learned for the graduation, because I really like my major :D

I tended to save anything that might be useful writing a future paper; no sense re-inventing the wheel.
Once I graduated, I recycled it all, and never gave it another thought until this thread.
