Old news.

Too many potentially dangerous side-effects.

Too much potential for abuse.

I'll stick with chocolate.

specifically, oxytocin is hoped to improve interpersonal bonding.

I'll stick with my cats, thanks.

I see no reason to change the way I am either...
It took me over 5 decades to know myself and know how I fit into this life system...
I'm not interested in going back to social school...
I'll stick with my K9 kids... woof! ;)

I should hope so, being that it's the primary function of oxytocin in the body.

It just feels really good, I wouldn't mind more.

But autistics are fine at that. Does it affect your social skills? From what I've heard it only affect emotional empathy, which is unaffected by autism.

I was thinking along the same path...
Sounds like a new improved way to be socially rejected since, as you pointed out, just having a greater desire to socialise does nothing to one's inherent/genetic social disability...
Great!...more misery through unrequited social interchange...lol

You know, oxytocin can be released in multiple ways . . . I think someone should pioneer a new therapy called "Fuzzy Animal Cuddle Time."

Good brownie points to the OP there for coming up with a solution to what many people think is just an everyday feeling to cope with your emotions when in fact its a struggle to just even maintain a latter bit of purity to continue with you're day in an additional sense not just an everyday occurance.
When will it be prescribed on the nhs ? shall we continue to pray for these options to become available when the coalition are still not in agreement? someone please sort out the financial bill so we can all can Keep Calm, and get on with our lives.

Did you really try Oxytocin? What was it like?

Here's another article about Oxytocin and a study Yale did and saw it helped Autistic children:
