I would say the top game to movie that should have happened would be Bioshock. But Ken Levine has personally canned the whole thing. It is a shame. I also heard awhile back that Wentworth Miller was going to play Jack but that was just a rumor I believe.

Dead Space, Castlevania are good choices I think.

Unfortunaetly these never turn out too well. But I still end up seeing them. Prince of Persia was the last one I saw and it was not so good. Why did they not use the dude from Lost he would of been perfect, you know the one. Jake Gyllenhaal was not a good choice.

Fallout 3 should be a movie. I also think Metro 2033 would work well. I like post-apocalyptic movies anyway but they're expensive to make and are usually devoid of male-female relationships which would keep the ladies away.

Good news. Metro 2033 has gotten picked up by MGM. So fingers crossed that it actually happens and does not end up like Bioshock. I actually brought this up in the books into movie thread since Metro is actually a book as well.

Liam Neeson whould reprose his role. It would be mandatory.

Also I was just thinking they should do Thief. But then again Stephen Russell would not be available as he mostly does voices only? Plus the new Thief game will not have his voice. Some other guy is doing it. I was sad when I read that.

Limbo. This aesthetic would look great in the big screen.

How about Kingdom Hearts one and two? Although I think these would need to be a TV series due to their size.

Batman: Arkham Asylum. The whole game feels like a long movie, it's also very dark in terms of the setting in and around Arkham Island itself. Eiminate the Riddler trophies, but keep a few riddles, add on a decent cast and director (Guillermo Del Toro) and you've got a bona fide hit.

Personally, I'd rather see Fallout 1 or 2 adapted... also, the Fallout games are so episodic (with all the intricate sidequests) they would make better TV shows...

Now, for a game-->movie, Red Dead Redemption would be awesome!

Actually, I think it would make a great trilogy. The first movie could be a prequel dealing with Marston's outlaw days. The other two movies could deal with the game story proper...

I think Valve said something about if there was gonna be movie about their games, they would handle it themselves.

That was actually in production at one point, then Skylanders happened.

I think Halo is WAY overdue for a movie, it could even be a series of movies. Sadly Microsoft doesn't seem to care about the fact and only allows episodes. Imagine a live action movie about John 117's life growing up in the Spartan II program and later to the events of Reach. Or one about the events of Contact Harvest.
