Okay, does anybody want to refresh my memory about why I shouldn't buy Xanax (benzo) on-line without prescription?

I saw one site that wants my bank details; that won't do. Obviously something's wrong if there's no prescription required, but I don't care any more. I've seen some in NA that take credit cards. I don't think I'd want to order from SA.

Thoughts, anybody?

You don't know what those pills are. I saw one report that the Chinese are selling Xanax that isn't even close to Xanax.

Also, your getting a controlled substance without a prescription and could get in trouble with the law.

Do you have health insurance? Just get a script.

Its expensive. Etizolam is cheaper. Pre paid credit cards are the way to go.

It still has to be shipped to an address, the postal inspector can trace that.

I guess I'll have to stick with prescription xanax. I don't dare deal with the sites I've found. But thanks for your responses, you helped settle an issue.

Apparently it's not legal in Canada, where I am.

Tread carefully with the Xanax.

I was addicted to it about a decade ago, and the withdrawals really sucked big time.

Just my personal experience, but I'd rather not see anybody else go through what I did.

Be very careful. OTC Doxylamine for sleep looks almost exactly like blue footballs in many places, tastes like it if chewed and makes you sleepy so it's easy to pass off for Xanax.

I took Xanax for several years when I had agoraphobia and panic disorder really bad years ago. If you are careful and responsible with it, you may get physically dependent and have to wean off when it's time to stop but you won't abuse it. This is only my experience though. At the time I took it, I was scared of most medicine so I was very careful with it. It did however stop my panic attacks in their tracks.

Down here there are certain doctors you can go to who don't have hospital privelages. While they may take insurance they may not, and will require cash per visit. About $50 or $75. You can tell them what you want and what you want it for and they give it to you. These are mainly used by people selling their pills but one of these was a lifesaver when I had the panic disorder. He also was happy to practice real medicine from time to time and when I did see him one year for a checkup, he gave me the most thorough checkup of my life. They aren't all bad, especially if you have a legitimate need. Just be careful and remember that stopping benzo's suddenly can cause seizures and hallucinations.

Thank you! I'm now trying to take 1 less pill per week, putting it aside for times when I need help. I still wish the doctor would be reasonable.

Yes, Xanax stops panic in its tracks. I not only panic, I go into shock and once I went into Bell's Palsy.

But I am curious about these doctors you mention - you say "down here" - I see that you are living in Faulkner's nightmare? Could you be more specific?

I hope it's in Canada, like me.

I live in West Alabama in a really small town. But we had these docs in Bham too. Ask drug people, they will know where they are. Then again, yall might be more careful with regulations in Canada than we are here.

The thing was with Xanax for me, when I had been on it a few months (and I got 90 1mg footballs a month) I took it like he told me to at first. My attacks were so bad it wasn't funny. Several debilitating ones a day, so I took a half to a whole, three times a day. Then when I started seeing that it would kill the panic I felt more confident and would just take a half in the morning and a half later in the day. I could take another half or a whole if I ever needed them, but just knowing it was in my purse was enough to prevent the attacks. I was on it like that, ( 1 to 2 a day) for a couple years and after a while I never felt it but would have to remember to take it. That's when I started halfing the halves and spacing them out more and got off it. I actually didn't use the full amount every month most times and finally just went and got a script and kept it around without taking it for a year or two. Just in case, but I rarely needed it. For me, it was the psychological thing of knowing I could stop the attack when I wanted to, and it wasn't just meted out to me and I would have to suffer through some and treat the others.

Ask your local friendly pharmacist for a "pill doctor". That's what we call them here.
