Online Freelance Work

Curious if anyone has done any online freelance work. My main special skill is legal/legal writing, and I have exceptional entry-level qualifications in this field (law review). Might add accounting qualifications as well. Could do so quite easily.

What are the chances of being able to do this sort of thing online on a freelance basis?

I am currently working a regular, temporary job, and the regular hours are killing me. I likely have Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome. Or something similar. Years of working a normal job and going to school with early classes have certainly taken a massive toll on my mental health. But I find that I am fine when I am able to keep my own hours.

I have never done it, but I once hired an artist off Guru.com. The work he had posted was not what he sent me, asking for payment. I paid for several simple sketches and said goodbye.

Try it out, but be very honest about what you can and cannot do. Be clear about what the costs will be, up front.

Thanks for the site. A foreign financial services company was registered as a user (Eagle Fin. Serv) Which is a bit interesting. I wonder if that would be a way to "grow" in this business, by living in an outsourcing location (on a different time zone, good for DSPD) and registering a local firm at low cost and then having a massive team to complete the work, inspecting and then signing off on it for quality. Wouldn't have to even be on-site. Might also be possible to start a firm that primarily hires autistic people, especially for data-heavy, meticulous tax work.

Yep, any other ideas?
