Hey, I'm Maddie and I'm 19 years old. At age 4, I was diagnosed with Aspergers, which I find surprisingly young. In May of this year, I graduated from high school, and I'm soon going to attend a private university in my home town by the end of the month. Dunno what I will major in yet; I will just explore my options as I go. Luckily, I will be rooming up with my best friend, so I'm hoping it won't be a tough time starting out as a college freshman.
Some of the things I enjoy include singing, sketching, surfing the web, watching anime, reading manga, and reading. I enjoy all kinds of music except country, but at the moment I've listened to metalcore and indie pop bands.
I admit, I don't consider my AS as a very good quality of mine. In fact, I try to avoid telling people I have it as often as possible to avoid harsh judgement. I don't see it as something that should make me be viewed differently from "normal" people, if that makes sense. I'm slowly overcoming my obstacles (i.e. social anxiety, shyness) and I hope they won't be obstacles anymore.
