The thing is, if you say something which makes sense... then people will construe from what you have said, that what you mean is what has actually been said.
And, their understanding of the discussion will be based on the meaning which you have conveyed.
So, if you mean something other than what you're actually saying, then it would be best to instead say what you actually mean.
