Hey, there's a lot of lonely hearts here on this section, and that's cool. Well, I don't mean it's cool that they're lonely, but it's cool that they have a heart, for circulation and all that, and they want to share it in romantic way too.

Is there anyone who actually is technically single at the moment, and is happy being so for a while, or permanently like that? I am, I don't feel like I should be with someone for the sake of it, and don't really think it's the right time for me to be coupled up, or to be looking.

i like being single too; there is much more freedom in being single.

I'm single. I kinda wish I had a friend or partner to do things with, but oh well.

Im single, and i want to join. I found a flag for us, too. I borrowed it from some strangely dressed men. There were almost no women there, so they might actually be aspie, so i won't take credit for this brilliant idea, just in case

Dunno what the same-sex friends thing has to do with choosing to be single. Anyway LeLetch, do you actually prefer being single? From your posts, well the ones I've read, I wouldn't have guessed so.

Polygamy is as close to being single as it to being in a monogamous relationship.
Tho i probably prefer monogamy.

Don't worry, im single and im proud. I simply am lacking the golden trio, and i have somewhat high standards, however I AM in school. It really doesn't bother me a whole lot, and im terribly patient if nothing else. I don't assume my single status is permanent however, and i don't REALLY think ya'll do either.

Now let me in your club darnit.

i'm single ready to mingle

I'm single, and happier this way, at least at this point. After my last relationship, the idea of dating has become terrifying to me and even people who I'd ordinarily like start to scare the crap out of me if they suggest that I might date them (or anyone).

It really annoys me when people act like all single people want to be dating other people or are somehow desperate because it's NOT true. They also act like they're the ONLY ones to "see past" my Autism or my gender stuff or whatever and accept me for who I am. Again, it's not true! I'm not desperate at all--if I wanted to be dating someone who accepted me for who I am, I WOULD be. It's weird how almost nobody stops to consider that I'm single by CHOICE.

I mean, maybe later, after I've worked through some of my issues and found someone who's really WORTH IT (who also wants to date) then I'd give it a try. But at the moment, I am not a viable dating option for ANYONE, and I find it sort of disturbing when people think I am.

I'm stepping up my efforts because I've never been a legitimate relationship. Until I have I can't say whether I prefer being single.

Am I proud of being the 3rd wheel?

I don't think so but I'm also not willing to settle for any woman who has noticeably less market value than I do.

It's better to remain neutral than go negative in a transaction.

I like the freedom of being single. Having my own life. Having a place I can go to without interference from anybody (I live with my dad but he largely allows me to keep to myself when I'm home).

I do have a yearning for a woman's warmth though. For kisses, hugs, cuddles, sex and other physical and verbal displays of affection. I miss that aspect of a relationship. Which is why I see GFE (girlfriend experience) escorts. So that I can experience stuff like that. Without having to deal with the inconveniences of an actual relationship. Would prefer if I didn't have to pay for it. But if you don't pay for it (and in an indirect way, you often do pay for it when you date. When I go live like a hermit and stop skirt chasing, my VISA bill goes way down), you have to work for it (yes to date I have found dating and conversing with people in general, let alone women, to be a chore. lol) It's not like a cute girl just lands on your lap and says "lets have sex and then cuddle later!" (I'm imagining her saying this with the enthusiasm of a cute anime girl).

I wouldn't say I'm proud to be single, but I am secure in it.
