I like Ice Climber and Super Mario Bros. 1. I really like The Legend of Zelda, too.

Predictable list, but that's okay.

Not only my favorite NES games, but two of my favorite games of all time are SMB3 and The Legend of Zelda.

Personally, the NES is still my fave gaming system, so all of them. :D Is that an option? XD

By far, the ones I've played the most over the years are the first three "Super Mario" games, and all six "Mega Man" titles. Throw in the first two "Zelda" entries, and that's my childhood in a nutshell.

Were any zapper games apart from duck hunt released in Europe?

I don't recall any.

For the second time: Hogan's Alley.
It was available here in Norway. I still have both Duck hunt and Hogan's alley in my collection.

IDK if "Wild Gunman" that Moviefan2k4 mentioned before was ever released here. I can't recall seeing it.

Oh! How could I have forgotten Skate or die? And Ski or die. They were fun!

Oh, okay. I wouldn't know =) There were quite a few Zapper games in the US, I think some of them were even unlicensed (does Chiller support it?).

To ollie onto the police car was a great deal of fun. An early display of contempt for authority.

Skate or die had a great deal of substance and it played well for an early skateboarding game.

Yup. It's a game series that should be immortalized as one of the best. It will always be one of my all time favorites, that's for sure. I listen to the soundtracks from 1-3 every so often. Still awesome. Always will be.

Here in the UK NES games (and the console itself) were harder to come by because for some reason Nintendo lost the rights to sell the cartridges in main street game retailers. Sega ended up with shelf domination. Nintendo ended up having to sell their consoles and cartridges in obscure places like Argos and Boots the Chemist.
