sometimes it leads to me speeding up.

Also I have gotten dirty looks from people who think I am following them. Like I have nothing better to do then follow randoms around.. (I am a single woman btw).

It would appear this may be quite a common phenomenon. Has anyone here given this much thought? Any theories or ideas as to why this occurs?

I am this way. My counselor said that it is actually related to or pervasive with AS. I do not know why.

i dont so much care about someone walking behind me as i do being able to hear their foot steps... i get a nervous panic feeling like there getting closer and closer and soon are going to run right into me... and i tend to turn around and glare at people for that simple reason
