Because I have NLD, I found this article very interesting. It does raise some interesting questions.

It talks about how NLD kids differ from HFA kids, but it doesnt say a word about how either differ from NT kids.

It wasn't supposed to. The article was about the brain differences between NLD and ASD.

I think that NLD is the representant of something which is F84.5 in ICD-10 (Asperger's syndrome) and classic Asperger's is a form of atypical autism (F84.1). I have F84.5 diagnosis.

"NLD" was named as (I read in the Internet):

- pervasive developmental disability
- life learning disability
- "serious and complex developmental disability" (such as autism)

"NLD" is NOT ONLY a learning disorder. It is something which is written above. Especially when it has the symptoms in ares such as: social, emotional, behavioral, sensory...

I think that the name NVLD is inadequate, bad and misleading. It is "soft" autism for me. With better ToM and less rigid mind. People with NLD are not neurotypical.
