I've been dealing with depression since early February, but only realized it a few weeks ago. I stopped even visiting WrongPlanet during that time, and I just thought it was "well, my girlfriend really gets me, and my two closest friends have been asking about Asperger's more, so I don't need to talk about it on here as much." But in reality, I was withdrawing from here just like I was withdrawing from everywhere else: friends, classes, etc. That took away a great resource; this site is full of people who really understand what living with Asperger's and depression is like, people who really get it. If you notice yourself withdrawing from here, make a conscious effort to come back. Make a conscious effort to reach out. The same applies to real life, obviously, if you have a similar group of support. Remember that there are people out there who understand, and even just seeing that can make a difference.
