Happy Christmas everyone. Just under an hour to go here in New Zealand... then the madness begins

I don't have any family, so no crazy Christmas party to attend tomorrow, thank goodness. Just a quiet day at home with my bunny and my flatmate.

I'll be alone, as usual, this Christmas. I'll probably get me some champagne and eggnog and drink it like a mimosa. If not I'll probably get some Chinese food from somewhere. Some of these places always seem to be open even on Christmas.

Mmmm. Now my mouth's watering for shrimp with lobster sauce.

You and me both, buddy. My aunt and cousin have already departed toward my grandmother's house where the entire family is going to converge. I opted out this year. It's a first, too, while I've been spending the past 3 New Year's Eves alone, I've always spent Christmas with the fam... but this year, I just don't see any point.

I'll be alone, too, but it's no big deal. I feel happy to have some quiet time myself. If I were in my country, I would be with my family, but the airfare is ridiculous. Have a good time, everyone!
