I hope California legalizes concealed weapons soon.

40 of 50 States allow law-abiding citizens to carry concealed weapons.
6 additional States require a special permit to carry a concaled weapon.
The people that commit violent crimes cary concealed wapons regardless of what their local gun laws are. Therefore, I relly hope California passes legislation allowing all law-abiding citizens to carry a concealed weapon in the near future.

For those of you living in the States where carrying a concaled weapon is legal, do you ever carry one?

According to the picture on the map, I live in a state where it is legal. However, I do not carry a concealed weapon. I don't like guns, and I've never had a reason to carry a knife (or any other weapon).

Too bad a longbow/quiver can't be concealed... I prefer a nice, quiet, zippy arrow as ammo, alternative to those loud-as-hell, fly-everywhere, explode-on-contact black thingies that a gun discharges...

No. Nor do I own a gun.

I would like to learn to shot some day, perhaps, but I'd like to learn to use a bow and arrow too.

On a practical note, under our law business or other places can opt out of the process by posting signs stating guns not allowed on premise. MOST places have such signs so there really is few places one could enter when carrying anyway.

Shooting and archery ranges usually have lessons and rental equipment.
Personally, I suck at archery but I enjoy trap and black powder shooting.

My ex- owned some black powder pistals---bueatiful! I don't beleive he shot them though. Do you target shoot with them, then? My understanding is that they are not very accurate?

Trap shooting takes real skill! Good for you.
