No, I am not a Yankees fan even though I am from Brooklyn, NY.

Earlier today I had read an article on MSN that Mr. Rodriguez would be suspended from playing with the Yankees for about 160 games instead of 211. Just now I just found out that he will be out for the complete season and the post season without pay. :) http://www.mlb.com/news/article/mlb/arb ... -642801893

Can't you just see all the executives from the team at a table discussing the situation and standing up with their arms in the air screaming at the top of their lungs "WE DON'T HAVE TO PAY A-ROD!! !! !! !! !! Yipee!! !!" Maybe this year they will be able to make a little more money than they did last year.

Yep, his career is over. He's 38 years old.

Oh no, thanks to the drugs he got to play multiple years longer than he otherwise could have and while playing got paid millions per season. Now he misses one season and maybe has to retire after racking up millions from said prior seasons. What an idiot. Kids, don't do drugs.

EDIT:
Also a one season suspension is a slap on the wrist compared to what athletes in Olympic sports have. In Olympic sports it's generally 2-4 years for your first offense, and then 6-10 or lifetime for second offense. Especially considering this is in essence his second offense and there's aggravating circumstances, a year seems even more like a slap on the wrist.

This basically confirms that drug testing in professional sports is a joke and only done for publicity purposes when they wish to "bury" someone.
