Who else is a big fan of such simulators (flight, trucking, train, etc.)

I have Flight Simulator 2004 (too many mixed reviews of FSX), X-Plane 9, several of the 18 Wheels of Steel games, Ship Simulator Extreme, and Euro Truck Simulator 2.

This one has to take the cake. I always thought the purpose of gaming was to escape a sh***y reality, not to emulate one.

I'm not a gamer but if somebody invented a UFO simulator I'd buy it.

I used to be a big fan of the "Flight Simulator" series, way back in the day, but I guess I always was more interested in flight sims that include combat, rather than just flying around from airport to airport for its own sake. Likewise for driving games - I like more racing than something that is just driving around for its own sake.
