I think maybe cat language for mutualism is when two cats walk up to each other, extend their noses toward each other, and then walk past each other, brushing each other just barely, and looping their tails toward each other so that the tails briefly intertwine. A cat doing this to a human will brush against the human's leg, often bumping its hips against your ankle and brushing its tail against your leg. It's a sort of "You are clan" friendly expression.
My cat does this.
Except in a more extreme way, we like him more than dogs because he does not trust anybody else in the world except for us and he will always run away from everyone else.
He sometimes brushes past, then nuzzles our feet then sits on them.
He is awesome and he is called Mingus after the Jazz musician Charles Mingus.
