I've been to four Book Sales over the past three years, and I absolutely love going to them. They happen twice a year---in March and September, and the pricing system is great: they stack the books against a ruler/chart thing, and the pricing is 50 cents per inch for softcovers, a dollar an inch per hardcovers.

This past Thursday, I actually acquired 43 books at the March Sale, and you can see them all here:

So, yeah. If anyone else here has local Book Sales in their area and wants to talk about them, feel free. :)

There's a bi-annual book sale in Portland every April and October. At the book sale last October, I volunteered there and I was impressed by the level of teamwork all the volunteers {in various "departments"} contributed to make sure order was maintained.

After I finished my volunteering, I bought three books for cheap.

I go to the book sale at the library down the street at the annual book sale each year. I like finding cheap books that are relevant to me.

Buying books at the used book sales are almost a requirement with the retail prices these days. Its always exciting when I find something cool and rare or even better signed by the author.
