Reccomandations for animated movies?

I've been getting into animated movies lately, and was wondering if there were any good ones I should consider getting to watch? They can be of any genre and by any film company. I just thought I'd ask for suggestions.

Being an animated film nut myself despite my age I guess I'm still a child at heart here are my suggestions.

I don't watch much animation for kids, but if you want recommendations for animation with more complex, darker themes, I'd suggest Blood Tea and Red String, a stop-motion animation that characterizes itself as a fairy tale for adults. For beautiful drawings, you might look at Paprika for something wild and fantastic, or The Garden of Words for a complex human story.

Wow, that's a long list. I've seen some of those, and most of them I've only seen bits of and want to see all the way through. There's also some I've watched when I was younger but don't remember much from. But I will use it to help me anyway.

Oh, and I don't care about my age, I'm only just realising now I want to watch stuff I feel I should have seen years ago. I'm not too old =)

any of the Naruto movies ( including the Shippuden movies )
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children ( especially if you've played through the game )
TMNT
Resident Evil: Degeneration ( and the other CG animated RE movie, which I forgot the subtitle to )

both Ultimate Avengers movies
Dr Strange
Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker
not sure if it qualifies as a movie but Halo Legends

Cat Soup -- Trippy, but well worth the watch as brother cat goes on a journey to retrieve the lost half of his sisters soul.

Wings of Honneamise - A fictional world where a cold war is ongoing. One country has a group of scientists working on developing the ability to launch a man into space. The end scene is great.

The Brave Little Toaster -- Because, he's brave, a toaster, and little.

DCU Justic League: War -- The portrayal of all the heroes were well done for being new to the team. A lot of complaints I heard were about the voice acting. I actually found their choice of voice actors better for how the characters were portrayed better than the ones normally used. Wonder Woman was perfect for being new to civilization outside of Themyscira. Fight scenes were a little over the top, but it was good.

5 centimeters per second -- Time Travel and love.

Venus Wars -- Really good sci-fi anime from the 90's. Set on Venus. One country attacks another. Resistance fighters resist. It gets cheesy, but it's cool.

Ghost in the Shell 1&2 -- Cyberpunk, action. Questioning what is and what isn't human, or life, or sentience.

Grave of the Fireflies -- Everyone should watch this one time in their life. You may hate this movie afterwards, but it won't be because it sucked.

Akira -- The movie doesn't do the manga justice, but it is good, and should be watched by everyone at least once.

Perfect Blue -- Mental Health and fame. It just gets creepier and creepier.

Tokyo Godfathers -- Homeless people find an abandoned baby and spare no effort to return the baby to the mother.

Vampire Hunter D - Half-Vampire wanders the future post-apocalyptic wasteland of earth.

Sword of the Stranger -- One of the best animated cartoons for fighting.

Green Lanter: Emerald Nights -- Use of the flashbacks as Hal inspires Arisia to not fear is well done. The animation for the fight scenes and story telling are really well done for a DCU movie.

Ninja Scroll -- The first anime movie I watched as a kid. Lots of action and intrigue. It's bloody and violent. Almost verges on horror, but not quite. There are two rape scenes, and one blatant sexual encounter. I was really to young to watch this, but It's really cool.

Only watch these if you watch the series, but they are pretty decent. --
