Anybody any experience with this stuff? Supposed to help my bi-polar and migraines at the same time, help me lose weight and make me more "normal".
Have heard it's called dopamax because it drops your IQ about 50 points.

I take it for seizures and have had good results....no lowered IQ ;)

However I wonder if the reason for that could be attributed to the fact that it makes me so damn tired!! ! (I imagine taking an IQ test while tired would not have a positive effect on the score)

I just got that for migraines, but have not started taking it yet. I was starting another medications and I wanted to wait and see if it had side-effects.

the topamax is an anti-seizure medicine but it supposedly helps with mood leveling.

I did a keyword search on topmaxe here and got this:

So you did not take topamax for seizure any way heres what I found on it:

I took it for my migraines for about a year. I didn't have much improvement in my migraines and I didn't lose any weight either, though I've heard that it has helped a lot of people with both. Just didn't work for me.

I also didn't notice any IQ loss.....as far as I know!

I have a friend who is a medical dr. She says it makes you act groggy and like an idiot. And that its a big joke within the medical community when a patient tells them they take it. She told me don't dare take it because it will cause you more problems than it will help. Plus may not be able to drive while on it. I know a girl that takes it for epilepsy and she acts really strange. Everyone hated her at work. She would fly off the handle at anything and would act in the most bizarre ways.

It definitely helps you lose weight. Its different for everyone, but I ended up losing 20lbs in a month. Damn good stuff as far as weight loss goes. Didn't really help me much other then that.
