The US government gets their "current" official rape statistics from a 30 year old servey that counted things like drunk consensual sex or "unwanted advances" as rape. They could easily take the FBI reported number of women raped, divide that by the consensus reported number of females, and boom, an accurate up to date rape statistic that isn't "1 out of 4."

Because men have cooties.

What's the difference between force intercourse
and involuntary intercourse.

/\ Protip: *This* is how one cites a source:

http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nsfg/key_statis ... htm#forced

With a *link*, dammit...

Anyway, the link still doesn't explain the claim:

... from the OP.

You guys are seriously disgusting.

For the OP, US government LOVES men. There are more men in power, by far, the president is a man, most governors are men, politics is largely ruled by men. Judges are mostly men, especially higher up. Men earn more, men have the final saying. What's the problem? Luckily tables are slowly turning around, future is not looking so bright for the men, haha.

On the other hand: prisoners are mostly men (and the US has waaaay more prisoners than other countries), homeless people are mostly men, and men get murdered more (usually by other men). And those positions of power you mention... not much use when you're one of the other 95% percent of men who are NOT in positions of power. When you get screwed over by someone in power it doesn't really matter whether that person has a third leg or not.

Here is one of the many sources for the 30 year old servey that all "up to date" statistics are based on.

This link does *not* demonstrate that "The US government gets their "current" official rape statistics from a 30 year old survey that counted things like drunk consensual sex or "unwanted advances" as rape", as you otherwise claimed in your original post.

Neither the CDC, the BJS nor the FBI use this study for their data.

BJS definition:
http://www.bjs.gov/index.cfm?ty=tp&tid=317

CDC definition (previously posted):
http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nsfg/key_statis ... htm#forced

FBI definition:
http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/re ... 13-revised

So which official US government rape statistic are you referring to?

the fixation is a little.....disturbing.

Pardon me, but even if your claim (that the US government used out of date data on rape statistics) were true, how on this side of the moon would that demonstrate that "the government hates men"?

When I was driving sober-cab for some girls that I roomed with, they were talking about guys who "creeped out" on them. The one that I knew best asked the others "Wouldn't you rather have [one of the burly football players] creeping out on you?"

I don't know about you, but when someone abuses me, whether it's spitting in my face, stealing my wallet, or trash talking me behind my back, I don't care who it is. I especially don't care if it's someone attractive or not.

How would you feel about this definition of rape: coercion by one person of another intended to gain access to something that the second person would naturally give only to a mate ?
