Richard SCARRY wrote children's books, and H. P. LOVEcraft wrote horror stories. Can anyone else think of ironic names, real or fictional?

Johnny Friendly (Character from On The Waterfront) Not friendly at all. He's a ruthless gangster union boss.

Frank Beard, drummer of ZZ Top, is the only band member without a beard; instead, he has a mustache.

There was also a golfer named Frank Beard, ironically.

its a news article about a guy in chichester who owns a kebab shop, he allowed sewage to run into the shop-his name is mustafa dogdu [which sounds like must have a dog doo, with dog doo being a common UK slang for dog poo/sht],seriously he shoud have changed his name now everyone knows who he is.

From 1998 to about 2007, I knew a Catholic priest named Father Cross, who in fact, was a very nice and caring person.

Chelsea have a talented young black footballer called Isaiah Jay Brown. I watched the FA youth cup final first leg on ITV4 between them and Fulham but the commentators were referring to him as Izzy Brown. Every time the commentators said this a voice in my head replied, yes he is. Maybe that seems a bit racist to sensitive folk but it is just a play on words. My sister once had an appointment with a dentist called Mrs Pain at 2.30. Funny to me but Mrs pain must have those many times each week.
