I am an old woman. I am happily married. And I LOVE to flirt! My mom is 86 years old, and she still flirts as well. I flirt with young men,old men, and everyone in between. I flirt with babies [they are the best flirts in the WORLD] other women,[ the closest to overt sexual innuendo is with other heterosexual women who are in relationships] and with puppies and the deer I feed apples to in the meadow.

When I flirt, I am not being sexist, nor putting up with sexism. I am also not ignorant and I AM self-aware. In addition, I care very much about other women [all people]

When I was young, one of the major concerns of my friends and I, was making sure that when we turned a guy down for a date, that we did not do so in a way that would devastate fragile male ego. Turning down a date, while still flirting with him, is, in my opinion, the best way to do so without hurting feelings.

Mean? Why? You have got it all wrong if you think flirting means "I want to have sex with you" or "I' have a crush on you" or anything similar. Flirting is just a kind of play where people show their potental interest in somebody, without comitting to anything. It's not much different from talking directly to somebody, other than being non-verbal.

I do NOT flirt with dead people. and by that I mean that I do not flirt with living, breathing people who seem to have no zest for anything. For those people, I give them comforting baked goods and homemade soups.
