Definitely humans. We're the only primates with the potential to make entire species extinct

humans or chimpanzees would be the most aggressive apes. I don't know about monkeys or lemurs.

Humans have more testosterone in the males and more estrogen in the females than any other ape. While we have better impulse control than a chimpanzee, we're also more competetive, more territorial, and in pre-civilized times, we were just as aggressive.

It does kind of make you wonder how aggressive chimps would be if they could talk, though. Some of the more intelligent ones could have had all sorts of brutal ideas for conquest but have been unable to communicate them to other chimps. Who knows

No, chimpanzees are to some extent more aggressive than humans. Humans are quite aggressive too but I think that they're in between the level of chimpanzees and the level of bonobos.

Humans start wars over political differences, oil and money. That's one of the most aggressive things a species can do. Plus we have made entire species extinct just because some wealthy people wanted to feel the buzz of taking another creature's live one too many times

No, we've got more destructive potential simply because of bigger brains and the technology to do it, not necessarily because of a higher level of aggressiveness. Other species may be more aggressive than us but don't have the large brains and technology to be as destructive.

Swansea city centre on a Friday night gives a good indication of the aggression of humans, too

I didn't say that humans weren't aggressive, I said that other species, like chimpanzees, were probably more aggressive than humans.

I know you did. I didn't explain myself properly in the last post.

Despite having the brainpower to communicate effectively and share information, humans still beat each other's brains out for looking at each other the wrong way, or for defending their children against gangs on bullies, or for being autistic, or for a huge variety of other superficial reasons. To me, that suggest we are more aggressive as a species than any other creature

Correct, followed by the Chimpanzees, our closest living relative species.

Homo Sap as all the charm of the Chimpanzee plus the brains to really do evil on an industrial scale.
