Polish media got crazy about this. They say the plane got shoot down by mistake by Ukraine soldiers because they were thinking it is another plane with Putin on board that was in the air at similar time. If it is true this is the worst kind of dark real life humor I ever heard of (I'm really sorry, I know it is a tragedy and all... but I couldn't help myself and I laughed when I first read this assumption). I mean... kill 300 people by a mistake? Because they were planning to kill someone else? I honestly don't get it. Why would something like this happen? Why would they explain themselves saying "We didn't mean to kill them - we wanted to kill someone else". Does it make them less guilty or something? 8O It is just stupid.

It is pretty big in the Netherlands too, since the plane left from Amsterdam and at least 154 of the passengers were Dutch. There has been non-stop news this evening.
They just showed an intercepted phone conversation between two commanders of the Russian rebels, and they were swearing, basically saying "Oh crap, we shot down a civilian plane, crap crap crap". The translator implied that the swearing was a bit worse.

Been catching that and the Gaza invasion for the last few minutes. Yeah, they're pretty sure they've triangulated the source of the issue to the Russian rebels. Not sure which way this will go but I really hope it forces Russia's hand in favor of Kiev.
