Honestly, the reruns are funnier and more interesting than new episodes IMO, so it has already begun the donward slide, but as long as it stays in syndication, I'm happy.

In all honesty, I can't imagine the network letting the show that makes as much money and gets such high ratings as The Big Bang Theory go just because the cast wants more money.
Seriously, what is the network going to do? Replace the whole cast? Or even lose their moneymaker by canceling the show?

this is what has happened to every great show. Its what happens when there are so many integral cast members and they stick together

If they do get their raises it will hasten the eventual cancellation of the show. The historical problem is that ratings (and thus ad revenue) peaks and then starts to decline as people get tired of the show, but that's about the same time that costs skyrocket because the cast and the crew want raises for their long tenure. At some point declining revenue and rising costs meet or get too close and show gets cancelled.
