order from shortest to longest if you could

Sounds like a good list. I have some similar shows that I watch. Let us know if The Wire is any good. 8)

Those shows are too recent to be classics. Classic TV is something like I Love Lucy.

Though it's comparatively recent, I'd say Breaking Bad already qualifies as a classic.

I Claudius. The best show ever made imo. The entire thing is up on youtube.
Rome (HBO) -- Chronologically Rome is set just before the events of I Claudius.

I live in Baltimore----NOT that that really makes me an expert----but, "The Corner" is better than "The Wire", IMO. It depends on what you like. "The Wire" is just a cop show like any other; it changes every episode, and you could probably not have to watch it, from the beginning. "The Corner" is about the characters / their stories----it's a story from beginning to end, and you'd HAVE TO watch it, sequentially.

I would also add "The West Wing" to your list, if you haven't already seen it.
