I've always liked Dr. Doom. I think he is greatly misunderstood.

Quite simply, he thinks he's right. He doesn't have any racist, genocidal ideology like the Red Skull or Magneto; he believes everyone would do better under his benevolent rule.

If Batman qualifies as a superhero, The Phantom does too!

The Phantom was the first superhero style hero. First published in 1936, he beat Superman & Batman to print. He also has the best back story and lore.

Unfortunately, the Billy Zane Phantom movie really sucked. While watching it, my friends and I sounded like we were Mystery Science Theater from the way we made fun of it.

^^^ Yeah, that movie did stink on ice...

It's really too bad. The movie tried to be good. It really did, but it needed a bigger budget and some talented film makers.

The Phantom is like Tarzan, Indiana Jones, and Batman all rolled into one. Unfortunately, all those other characters made it to the big screen first-- makes The Phantom seem derivative even though he predates all but Tarzan.

Objectively best, in my mind, is probably Captain America or Superman.

My favourite, however, has always been Spider-Man.

My favourite is Deadpool. He's so crazy and fun, but as far as best "good" superheroes, I would have to say Captain America.

If I remember correctly, Doctor Doom does do a good job running Latveria...
