Hi guys..

I'm extremely disapointed with the quality of Wrongplanet.

The people in the group is amazing, and I'm happy to be part of such an amazing little community, but this site is absolutley horrible.
The Interface is so outdated, It's so hard to search for posts, by the original author, sometimes this site frequently errors me, when I try to reply, or even search for a person, the final thing that's annoyed me, is the cloudflare protection.

Why do we need DDOS protection, what idiot would take this Aspegers community site down, apart from possibly angry people from Autism Speaks?

a major site upgrade, and refurbishment has been planned, and promised, but has yet to be implemented, in the mean time more and more Aspies sign up here, and the decaying server can barely handle the load.

I wish that this side could be modernised, the interface on this site is extremely old fashioned, and probably riddled with security holes.

i'll add that the "enter page" function never works for me. when i flip through pages on subforums or just looking at my own posts, i have to do so manually, one by one because that function doesn't work for me, and when i try it just sends me back to square (page) one.

Alex is certainly being very tight-lipped about the site update. yet i doubt he has spent an hour in the past three years actively working on here. he certainly is a very busy guy, but i don't want to see this site sold to Yahoo or anyone.

It is what it is, hopefully Alex can find the time to maintenance his site or at least delegate it to someone else eventually before the inevitable happens. I know he's really busy but that doesn't mean he can't let someone else take over those responsibilities.

That's just it -- I turned off DDoS protection, and captcha challenges on AN some time ago. Cloudflare is simply DNS for me at the moment.

It's immensely frustrating. The site is creaking and the stress fractures are beginning to show. We all know Alex is incredibly busy and I admire the man's tireless enthusiasm but Wrong Planet is probably the greatest contribution he could make to the autistic world. The resources available here are staggering. I mean think how many people have found support and a sense of camaraderie here. I dont think ive seen another forum of this size and with this level of traffic that actually has the same sense of community.

I suppose eventually we'll all migrate over to aspie central. Does anyone know exactly WHY Alex just isn't doing anything about the deterioration of the site? Why hasn't he delegated the task to someone else? I mean it feels as if he's abandoned the project but doesn't want someone else to take the reigns. Im sure the moderators have suggested that someone suitably qualified be recruited from WP itself or hired? What was the response may I ask
