So, I hadn't even heard of this until it showed up on my Netflix start page the other day.

It's basically a ten episode expansion of Robert Rodriguez' classic movie.

I've been binge watching for the last few days. At first I was getting a bit annoyed with the pacing--it really is an expansion of the movie--because some of the new back story felt a bit pointless. But by episode 5 or 6 they make it to the Titty Twister and things begin to pick up quite a bit! I'm on episode seven now and I'm really digging it. I'm sorry there's only 3 more episodes this season.

Robert Rodriguez manages to find talented, charismatic performers who no one has ever heard of, and create such entertaining films!


Rodriguez discovered Danny Trejo, one of my favorites.....and the gorgeous Salma Hayek portrayed Satanica Pandemonium in the original film!

I watched a few episodes of it and I didn't really like it, it is basically is the movie scene for scene but painfully stretched out and without the charm. I felt the acting was poor and that the actors were trying to do their best impersonation of the actors in the movie, at least that is how I felt about the Seth character. Maybe I will finish it sometime in the future since I hear the diverges from the movie later on and you say the pacing picks up.
