Every time I come to WP I see the same stupid annoying ad: "Covergirl drops Ellen". It is an animated gif - really annoying. I am deeply uninterested in these ads, and wish they would stop. I know I can use ad block but I thought the idea was to avoid ad block so that WP could raise some income.

I will have to adblock this site if the ads don't change to something very different. The ads are counter-productive.

The ads are totally annoying and some of them even cause pop ups which are malware if you click them. I don't understand why the ads on the forum have to be more annoying and unsafe than any other forum I know.

i use firefox with the "ghostery" plug-in, which blocks not ads specifically, but trackers of all sorts. so i see no ads here.

I've noticed when I've looked up "The Good guys" for anything their ad comes up on here after.
I've often wondered if anyone else gets those ads.

On mobiles and tablets, the site is next to unusable due to huge banner ads which scroll down every single page with the user, occasionally getting stuck.

I suggest downloading adblock or adblock plus (doesn't matter which) for your browser. I use it and I love it! It automatically blocks ads everywhere. However if you want, you can customize the settings to exclude certain websites. :)
