Hi folks

Being in my late thirties and still single, hardly a family event goes by without being asked when I'll get married. At last by now I don't get upset any more. In fact, I think humour is the way to go.

Q. When are you getting married?
A. I am not a prophet / Sorry, you expect me to PREDICT this?

Q. Where is your girlfriend?
A. I don't know. The police doesn't know either.

Oddly, I don't think I've ever been asked by anyone, family or friends, about when I'm getting married or having kids, or if not, why not. I wonder if I'm to assume, from that, that nobody ever thought these were the kind of things I'd be capable of doing.....

I did wind up getting married. But even then nobody pressured me to start a family. Again because I suspect they kind of thought I shouldn't.

A lack of good offers.
I'm trying not to lower my standards.
the opportunities I have had would be the equivalent of working at McDonald's. I am not doing that either.
You have already told me all about it, that was enough for me, thank you.
As soon as it pays, I will think about it.
I could never seem to get past the trial offer. I always needed a refund.
I have seen how it turned out for you.
I don't have an answer for that?
I was hoping you could tell me?
If I had an answer for that, I'm sure I would be.
I'm available, beat the crowd.

I think I have heard this question before?

I am divorced and I get asked when I'll remarry and start a new family all the time. My response is "99 problems and a b!@# ain't one." Usually shuts them up.
