Wasteland 2 will be 'officially released' on 9/19 after months of early access.

This may not appeal to everyone, but it looks like some great, old school fun to me!

I actually already bought the game on early access when it was on sale last month, but I have resisted the urge to play...

I'm prolly gonna wait to play for a bit longer--I'll give it a month or so after the official release to iron out (hopefully) the last few bugs... with school going, I don't have time to beta test. This thing looks like it will be very complex and time consuming as it is.

Wish I would have had a job when the Kickstarter for this was going on...would have been awesome to have a physical copy.

I really like how Kickstarter is breathing life into games that normally wouldn't make it in "the industry". Way excited for this, Pillars of Eternity and the Numenera game by the Planescape dude

Before Kickstarter, we would always dream about a true sequel to Wasteland, and then end the conversation with "Too bad it will never happen."

Although that dream did get a lot more tangible when Fargo re-acquired the rights to the name.

I still like Doom, and it came out less than a month after I was born. :P Got any good stories to share about it, like deathmatching someone for the first time over a modem, or seeing how well it ran after upgrading to a shiny new 486/Pentium? :D

This game looks awesome... And as a major Fallout: Tactics fan, I'm just hoping that it lives up to the expectations...

Even the commentary is epic:

From the video in the OP at 1:25:
"Finally, this guy's an as*hole. Let's dump 2 points out of Charisma and put them into Strength".

Nothing warms my heart like a good old-fashioned Min-Maxer. :D

One time, over a LAN in coop mode, I was running around with an invisibility powerup, when my friend yelled "Argh! A Spectre!" and shot me dead.

...but this thread is about Wasteland, not DOOM...

It's actually pretty good. Been with it for a while now.

Story and atmosphere are good, characters and writing are too. Combat is ok too.

Kinda like Fallout with the combat of Fallout Tactics.
