We're going to have to lock the forums while the migration takes place. But the entire site is being revamped to the new version that you may have heard about!!


It should be done migrating by next week at the latest.

that is...bright....

anyway today has been an, um, eventful day on WP.

any screenshots as how a thread would look like (what you're seeing right now)...or is that for us to discover?

aesthetics notwithstanding, it is very nice and appreciated to see a predicted end to all these friggin site problems that have been driving so many of us up the wall, this site as it is, as well as the look and operation has the atmosphere of something way beyond it's prime.

(i don't experience tons of site bugs, it runs pretty smoothly for me and i like the colors but i must be in the minority. :/ )
this is truly a big change. but it must be a good one.

It looks rather nice!
Any chance of theme options? Bright white doesn't seem appealing, variable color would be wonderful :)

Looks great! Is the plan to lock this board and start over, or actually move things to the new board? I ask because I've got all sorts of stuff in my PM box or in various threads that I'd like to continue to have access to, and want to know if I should be backing those up somewhere, or if they'll still be accessible.

Everything will be migrated over to the new site.

Also it's going to be easy for members to contribute articles for the front page and we'll have a ton of more updated content.

ok yay, i was wondering that too.

also doubtful, but regarding usernames will we be able to change them? and i like the idea of changeable colors/themes too, i like these "minty" colors as they are, if that's an option.

looks great either way. also nice to see the little alien guy get more emphasis. :P

I have a question, does the site take longer to load than the current one? I sometimes use dialup internet.

I could tell it will be just from the cleaner look it will have. Will also dump all the annoying side adds I constantly see, that would be a huge speed booster, or is that how you make the $$ need to keep the site going.
