I did a 30 day challenge called "Every Little Worry." The way it works is for 30 days you keep a journal, and every time you worry about something, you write it down. After 30 days, all I can say is, wow. I highly recommend it, especially for those of you who suffer from intrusive negative thoughts.

Do you mean after 30 days, the worries you had when you wrote them down look like nothing to worry about? And is it that in that way you can convince yourself that many of your worries are actually nothing to worry about? Is that how it works?

I imagine that it could work cathartic. On top of that, writing down one's worries helps crystalizing them, so you can start thinking about any solutions to your problems.

I have done similar things in the past, and it's certainly empowering, but I also find that it takes a lot of mental discipline.

They say if you make anything a habit for 90 days you have a much greater chance at actually changing your behavior. For me personally I don't worry about my giddy ups anymore, If I feel like having a beer I will, life for me is to short for me to persecute myself mentally any more. I'm enjoying this ride, *squints eyes* -_-

I can't do that. Negative thoughts are the only thing that keeps me going. I used to be happy and unmotivated and now I hated it.

Exactly.
