Physical domain controllers vs virtual domain controllers?

Hey guys,
I'm planning on installing two physical servers running through a Dell NSA 220 Sonicwall. My employer has put me in charge of the domain controller setup. He wants to know if there are any advantages to making Hyper-V the DC?
Through my own research, the cumulative answer seems to be a no. (Security/hardening issues, no MS support, performance degredation, possible issues with AD backups..etc) My gut tells me physical is the way to go!
However,I'm hoping some seasoned sysadmins might be able to weigh in. Are there any advantages to making Hyper-V hosts a DC?
