are you a city aspie or a country aspie?

are you a city aspie or a country aspie? or something in-between? as much as I like cities and their closeness to fun/exciting things, I cannot handle the intensity and complexity of urban life and have always defaulted to simple country living even at the expense of having next-to-no cultural enrichment outside of the internet. anybody else here in the same boat?

I'm currently a country aspie. I spent 38 years of my life in a major New Zealand city. Then a big earthquake destroyed the city and I moved away to the country far away from my home town. I do like living in the country as it's quiet and peaceful and there's lots of beautiful native birds all around. My anxiety levels have dropped since I've been here.

But, I've been here for almost 4 years now and as I can't drive it's becoming very hard. My flatmate gives me a lift into town once a week to do my shopping, but I have lost my independence. So I might have to look at moving to a smaller town next year that has buses so I can get about on my own. But I never want to live in a big city again.

I live in a small town, which is nice. Except, everything closes by 6pm!

in the little wide spot in the road about 40 minutes driving time away from me [the county seat and the town closest to me hermithole] they roll up the sidewalks @ 5PM.

I consider myself a city aspie. I live on the outskirts of the capital, which is perfect. It's close to all conveniences, but it's not inner city.
I am very content with that.

I don't really venture out much any more apart from work and my walk once a week.

But I am a city aspie. The thing is though I love the city when it is empty at about 4am on a sunday morning.

It's the time when all the dust has settled from the hussle bussle of the week and it's just getting ready to be reawakened again.

I lived in suburbs/small city my whole life so I don't really know how I could deal with living in a huge city or a cottage.
But if I had a choice I would move to the seaside, next to a river or in a mountain area with caves so I could collect shells/stones. It would be fun. The city size wouldn't really matter- I would stick to suburbs area anyway.

I guess I'm a country Aspie but to be honest where I live is so busy, it may as well be a small town so it has a busy feel without the attractions of the city. It's kind of the worst of both worlds. Being in the countryside is good for going for walks though, I wouldn't miss that for the world.

I currently live in a rural area, but I much prefer cities. I can't drive, there's no public transportation, and walking is not practical, so I'm entirely dependent on my parents for transportation. Even if I could drive, there's nothing to do here and I wouldn't be able to afford gas, considering it's a two hour drive to get groceries. But, worst of all, there's no privacy. Everyone knows everyone else and is excessively "friendly". Going outside is a constant social interaction, there's no escape from it. You can't tell anyone anything without the whole town knowing about it. People you've never met know your life story. I dearly miss the anonymity of the city, where you can go out all day without speaking a word, and with the expectation that you'll never see anyone you meet ever again.

I'm an Aspie that lives in the country.

City Aspie here. Which I appreciate because of the amount of social opportunities with other Aspies or like minded people.

I live in a city for most of my life. Large, but at least not in the most busiest place.

I would like either city or country. But leaning towards rural.
But more like country by day, city by night... Relax and silence at day, and actively functioning at night which is perfect.

Rural at night is kinda scary around here. While day mornings in the city is too much to cope with.
